What you'll do

As the Director of Engineering for Platform Engineering at Upstart, you will lead a talented team of engineers in developing cutting-edge AI lending solutions. You will be responsible for setting the technical vision and strategy for the platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of both internal stakeholders and external customers.

You will collaborate closely with product management to define the roadmap for platform features and enhancements, prioritizing initiatives that align with Upstart's mission of expanding access to affordable credit. Your role will involve overseeing the architecture and design of the platform, ensuring that it is scalable, reliable, and secure.

You will also be responsible for building and nurturing a high-performing engineering team, providing mentorship and guidance to team members as they grow in their careers. In addition, you will work closely with data scientists and analysts to leverage data insights in driving product improvements and enhancing the user experience.
