Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience as a data analyst, particularly in sales analytics, where you've developed a strong ability to derive insights from complex datasets. Your expertise in SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze data effectively, while your proficiency in visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI enables you to present findings in a clear and impactful manner. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and have a track record of supporting sales teams with actionable insights that drive performance.

You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment. You enjoy working closely with Sales and Service teams to understand their needs and challenges, and you are adept at translating those into analytical solutions. Your strong communication skills allow you to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that insights are understood and utilized effectively.

You are detail-oriented and possess a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to identify trends and patterns that others might overlook. You are comfortable working with large datasets and have experience with data cleaning and preparation processes. Your ability to think critically and solve problems will be essential in this role as you work to enhance dealer interactions and streamline prioritization.

Desirable

Experience with CRM systems and understanding of the automotive industry would be a plus. Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques and tools, such as Python or R, could further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key member of the Sales Analytics team at CarGurus, where your primary responsibility will be to deliver analysis and insights that support revenue growth and customer retention. You will work closely with Sales and Service teams to identify their data needs and develop analytical tools that empower them to make informed decisions. Your insights will help streamline processes and improve seller productivity, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining dashboards and reports that provide visibility into sales performance metrics. By leveraging your SQL skills, you will extract and analyze data from various sources, ensuring that the information is accurate and relevant. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies that drive results.

As you deliver insights, you will be expected to communicate your findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Your ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner will be crucial in ensuring that your insights lead to actionable outcomes. You will also participate in regular meetings with Sales and Service teams to discuss performance, share insights, and identify areas for further analysis.
