Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our dynamic Business Development (BD) team within Amazon Music. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing 3P product integrations and APIs, focusing on the distribution of Amazon Music streaming services among third-party devices and services such as speakers, headphones, TVs, and other innovative technologies. This position demands exceptional communication skills, coupled with extensive hands-on program management experience in the tech industry.

The candidate will be responsible for managing complex projects, collaborating seamlessly with diverse internal cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and business development. Additionally, they will work closely with external partners to ensure smooth integration and optimal user experiences across platforms.

Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining project schedules, identifying and mitigating risks, facilitating effective communication among stakeholders, and driving projects to successful completion within specified timelines. The ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and navigate ambiguity is essential in this environment.


Key job responsibilities
As a Technical Program Manager for Amazon Music's BD team, you will:
1. Oversee 3P product activities, ensuring successful implementation and continuous improvement of Amazon Music services across various third-party devices.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage deliverables, monitor processes, and lead troubleshooting efforts for seamless music streaming experiences.
3. Partner with external companies to deliver integrations and drive improvements in the user experience.
4. Foster effective teamwork and communication among diverse internal teams and external partners, acting as a liaison to align goals and timelines.
5. Define and track program priorities using project management tools, facilitating regular meetings to review status and address challenges in team processes.
6. Develop and distribute comprehensive project information, including plans, risk management strategies, and status reports to stakeholders.
7. Maintain current and accessible program artifacts, managing the project document repository with proper version control for all integration-related documentation.
8. Proactively identify and mitigate risks that may impact timelines or deliverables across various device platforms.
9. Coordinate testing and certification processes for integrations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and partner requirements across different markets and devices.- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience with Confluence/JIRA, or other project management tools.
- Proven success in influencing and developing productive working relationships with internal resources and external business partners such as device manufacturers and technology providers.
- Strong meeting management and negotiating skills.
- Strong analyzing and problem-solving skills for technical integration issues.
- Demonstrate ability to manage project and task prioritization, deliverables, and schedule planning
- 2+ years of experience in managing technical projects involving API integrations, music streaming protocols, or consumer electronics.
