Neuralink is seeking a Digital IC Design Engineer Intern to work on next-generation chip design for brain-computer interfaces. You'll collaborate with engineers on micro-architecture design and RTL implementation, focusing on low-power digital signal processors and hardware accelerators. You are an enthusiastic individual eager to dive into the world of digital IC design. As a Digital IC Design Engineer Intern, you have a foundational understanding of chip design principles and are excited about working on advanced architectures and hardware accelerators. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoying the opportunity to work closely with chip designers, electrical engineers, algorithms engineers, and software engineers. Your analytical mindset drives you to tackle new challenges, and you are passionate about enhancing energy efficiency and scalability in technology. You are familiar with tools like Altium Designer and have experience with Embedded Linux and Python, which will aid you in your responsibilities.
In this role, you will be responsible for the micro-architecture design and RTL implementation of various components, including low-power digital signal processors, general-purpose hardware accelerators, graphics processing units, and radio MAC/PHY. You will engage in hands-on design work, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that push the boundaries of brain-computer interface technology. You will collaborate with a small, agile team, participating in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to refine your ideas and approaches. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and performance of neural recording and stimulation systems, making a meaningful difference in the field of brain-computer interfaces.
