Overview

Axon is seeking a Director of Accounting Strategy & Financial Reporting to lead accounting research and operational analysis with a focus on M&A and financial reporting. This role requires collaboration with senior leadership and a strong understanding of accounting policies.

Desirable

Experience with SEC reporting and non-GAAP financial measures is a plus. Familiarity with strategic equity and debt investments will further strengthen your candidacy. You are proactive in developing clear accounting policies and providing informative training to your colleagues.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Accounting Strategy and Financial Reporting team at Axon, focusing on critical areas such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and compliance with new accounting standards. You will oversee the SEC reporting process and ensure accurate financial statement disclosures, playing a key role in the earnings release process.

You will collaborate closely with the Strategy and Corporate Development team, providing strategic advice on the accounting implications of various transactions. Your insights will help shape the company's approach to financial reporting and compliance, ensuring that Axon remains at the forefront of industry standards.

You will also be responsible for developing and implementing clear accounting policies that align with the company's mission and values. Your leadership will guide the team in conducting operational analyses and research, driving improvements in financial reporting practices.

Additionally, you will present your findings and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing key decisions that impact the company's financial health. Your role will involve mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the accounting function.
