Who you are

You have extensive experience in sourcing and procurement processes, ideally with a focus on indirect goods and services. Your background includes managing complex sourcing events and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. You are data-driven and understand how to leverage technology to optimize procurement processes. You excel in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with various stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively convey sourcing strategies and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices in sourcing and contracting operations.

Desirable

Experience in the technology sector, particularly in autonomous driving or related fields, is a plus. Familiarity with procurement software and tools will enhance your ability to manage sourcing operations effectively. A background in project management methodologies will also be beneficial as you lead sourcing initiatives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as the operational lead for the end-to-end sourcing and contracting lifecycle. You will manage the throughput and execution of sourcing events, ensuring that all processes are compliant and efficient. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the generation of contracts and ensuring that all sourcing activities align with Waymo's strategic goals. You will work closely with the Procurement and Vendor Enablement Office to build strong supplier relationships and support outsourcing excellence. You will analyze data to drive decision-making and improve sourcing processes, ensuring that the path from identifying a need to cutting a Purchase Requisition is seamless. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring team members on best practices in sourcing and procurement.
