Software Security Engineer

Who you are

You have 5-15+ years of software engineering experience implementing and maintaining critical systems at scale — you've developed a deep understanding of security practices and have a track record of safeguarding complex infrastructures. Your expertise in cloud security architecture is complemented by hands-on experience with IAM, network segmentation, and encryption controls, ensuring that security is integrated into every aspect of development.

You are well-versed in designing secure workflows and CI/CD pipelines — your experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and GitOps workflows allows you to ship and operate secure, high-reliability services. You have a strong foundation in threat modeling and risk assessment, enabling you to secure complex multi-cloud environments effectively.

Your mentoring skills shine as you contribute to the growth of the Security team — you enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping engineers develop their security expertise. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with research and product teams to build secure AI systems that maintain user trust.

Desirable

Experience with Kubernetes security and container orchestration is a plus, as is familiarity with various cloud environments. You have a proactive approach to identifying security vulnerabilities and implementing solutions that enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build security for large-scale AI clusters, implementing robust cloud security architecture that includes IAM, network segmentation, and encryption controls. You will design secure-by-design workflows and secure CI/CD pipelines across our services, helping to build secure cloud infrastructure with your expertise in various cloud environments.

You will ship and operate secure, high-reliability services using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and GitOps workflows, ensuring that security is a fundamental aspect of our development processes. Your deep expertise in threat modeling and risk assessment will be crucial as you secure complex multi-cloud environments, identifying potential vulnerabilities and mitigating risks effectively.

As a mentor, you will contribute to the hiring and growth of the Security team, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices within the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security considerations are integrated into product development from the outset.
