You have extensive experience in data center operations, particularly in managing electrical and mechanical systems — your expertise ensures that all equipment operates at peak efficiency and reliability. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining first-class customer service within the data center environment. You have a strong technical background and are comfortable interacting with engineering teams and third-party vendors, serving as a key resource for facility operations.
Your experience includes planned preventative maintenance and emergency response for critical infrastructure — you understand the importance of maintaining 100% availability for all systems. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with diverse teams, including software, hardware, and network engineers. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
You are skilled in managing complex systems and have a deep understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) operations — your ability to analyze and optimize these systems is crucial for the success of the data center. You are also familiar with safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that all operations comply with industry standards.
Experience with AWS infrastructure services is a plus, as is familiarity with data center design and planning. You may have certifications related to facility management or engineering, which would further enhance your qualifications for this role.

You will lead a team of Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with third-party vendors to maintain and improve the infrastructure. Your role will involve conducting regular inspections and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
You will develop and execute maintenance schedules to ensure that all systems are regularly serviced and any issues are addressed promptly — your leadership will be key in fostering a culture of safety and efficiency within the team. You will also be involved in emergency response planning and execution, ensuring that the data center can respond effectively to any incidents that may arise.
Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with various teams across AWS to support their operational needs — your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships will be critical to your success. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers within the organization.
