Data Scientist

Who you are

You have a STEM degree from a top university and at least 2 years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning. Your programming skills in Python are excellent, and you possess a deep understanding of probability and statistics. You thrive in cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers to tackle ambiguous problems and implement algorithms in production. You are passionate about building proofs of concept and improving existing algorithms, always looking for ways to enhance the user experience.

Desirable

Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization techniques. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn and grow in your role. You understand the importance of user privacy and are committed to building solutions that prioritize it.

What you'll do

As a Data Scientist at Wheely, you will take ownership of the entire process of building machine learning models, from initial ideation and research to implementation in production. You will work on challenging problems such as predicting ETAs and optimizing pricing strategies to maximize demand and supply. Collaborating with a cross-functional team, you will solve complex issues and deliver proofs of concept that can be integrated into our products. Your role will involve researching new methodologies and continuously improving existing algorithms to enhance our service.

You will also participate in team discussions, sharing insights and findings with your colleagues to foster a collaborative environment. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of our service and the satisfaction of our users. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects within different teams, such as Passenger, Supply, Matching, and Mapping, allowing you to broaden your expertise and influence the direction of our data initiatives.
