Security Sales Specialist, SLED, Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in promoting education, state and local government.
• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, security architecture or incident response.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience planning, pitching, and executing business and customer transformation strategy aligned to data and analytics.
• Experience working under tight deadlines, and providing excellent engagement and team support.
• Knowledge of the public sector cybersecurity landscape.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and manage talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
• Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT/Security technology space.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Partner with public sector customers and partners as their trusted Google security and compliance advisor, identifying cloud ­related security and compliance design, development, and deployment friction points from the customers’ perspective and rally teams to work through solutions.
• Work with customers and partners to define joint initiatives and co-create their cloud security and compliance transformation journey, collaborating across functional and product areas to bring the best of Google to the customer.
• Advocate for the innovation of Google security and compliance and help translate it into actionable steps global companies can take towards adoption. Act as a mentor and leader to the wider Google Cloud security and compliance professionals.
• Create value and volume security, campaigns, programs, and solutions.
