Are you ready to drive large-scale, global programs that sit at the intersection of technology, tax , and business expansion?
We are looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager (L6) to lead the delivery of mission-critical initiatives for Systematic Tax Compliance and Controllership across APAC and LATAM regions. This role offers a unique opportunity to orchestrate innovation in one of the fastest-growing and most complex spaces at Amazon.

What You’ll Own
You will own the end-to-end program management lifecycle for strategic tax compliance initiatives including planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment ensuring Amazon meets regulatory obligations systematically while enabling rapid global expansion. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, tax, and finance partners to launch scalable, self-serve tax systems for real-time withholding, automated reporting, and remittance.
You’ll also help integrate next-gen AI/ML capabilities into our compliance stack simplifying reconciliations, automating manual workflows, and enabling proactive risk identification and resolution.

Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs from defining business and technical requirements to roadmap planning, resource allocation, and execution.
Drive both business-critical initiatives and long-term strategic efforts aimed at reducing launch time, increasing operational efficiency, and lowering total cost of ownership.
Partner with product, engineering, tax, finance, and operations stakeholders to define and refine program goals, ensuring alignment and clarity at every stage.
Lead hands-on execution, managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication to deliver programs on time and with high quality.
Serve as a technical problem solver, unblocking teams through structured thinking, sound judgment, and consensus-building especially in high-ambiguity situations.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to influence system architecture, design decisions, and technical trade-offs aligned with long-term program goals.
Contribute to long-range planning and strategic decision-making, ensuring programs scale effectively with Amazon’s global business growth.

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
