Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, with a strong background in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure. Your expertise in cloud services, particularly AWS, allows you to design systems that are both efficient and reliable. You are proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, enabling you to streamline deployment processes and enhance system performance.

Your programming skills in Python allow you to automate tasks and develop scripts that improve operational efficiency. You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, which you use to manage and provision infrastructure seamlessly. You understand the importance of monitoring and logging, and you are familiar with tools that help ensure system reliability and performance.

What you'll do

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Kalepa, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our AI Underwriting Platform. You will design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions that support our mission of transforming the commercial insurance industry. Your work will involve collaborating with engineering teams to ensure that the platform is robust, efficient, and capable of handling increasing loads as we grow.

You will be responsible for managing cloud resources on AWS, optimizing costs, and ensuring high availability of services. Your expertise in Docker and Kubernetes will be essential as you containerize applications and manage their deployment across various environments. You will also implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, allowing for consistent and repeatable infrastructure management.

Monitoring and logging will be key components of your role, as you will set up systems to track performance and identify potential issues before they impact users. You will work closely with developers to ensure that the infrastructure supports their needs and facilitates rapid development cycles.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will contribute to the team's culture of collaboration and innovation.
