Formlabs is hiring a Senior Robotic Systems Integration Engineer to support the development of innovative 3D printing technology. You'll work on integrating firmware and hardware for printer prototypes, utilizing skills in C, C++, Embedded Linux, and Python. This role requires experience in robotics and systems integration.
You have a strong background in robotics and systems integration, with at least 5 years of experience in the field. Your expertise includes working with firmware and hardware, enabling you to bring together complex subsystems in a seamless manner. You are proficient in programming languages such as C and C++, and have experience with Embedded Linux, which allows you to develop and debug intricate systems effectively. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with design teams to overcome cross-disciplinary challenges. You are passionate about innovation and eager to contribute to the future of fabrication.
Experience with Python is a plus, as it will help you in developing control algorithms and calibration procedures for electro-mechanical and electro-optical subsystems. Familiarity with sensor-based systems and performance characterization will also be beneficial in this role. You are comfortable managing subsystem and system-level requirements, ensuring that engineering efforts align with product needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for integrating firmware and hardware to create fully-functional 3D printer prototypes. You will define and implement control algorithms and calibration procedures, ensuring that all subsystems work together harmoniously. Your work will involve developing sensor-based subsystems and characterizing their performance, which is crucial for the overall functionality of the printers. You will also manage subsystem and system-level requirements, ensuring that all engineering efforts are aligned with the product's needs. Debugging system-level issues will be a key part of your responsibilities, and you will collaborate with other engineers to resolve these challenges effectively. At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $180,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs.
