Smartsheet is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to work on various aspects of software development including front-end, back-end, and cloud infrastructure. You'll utilize skills in Java, JavaScript, and AWS in a hybrid work environment in Bangalore.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development. Your expertise includes working with cloud infrastructure and implementing test automation strategies. You are comfortable in a lean agile environment and have a passion for driving high standards within your team. You thrive in collaborative settings, engaging with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful software solutions. You are eager to expand your skill set across multiple disciplines and contribute to various projects.
Experience with CI/CD practices is a plus, as is familiarity with Docker and AWS services. You have a proactive mindset and are always looking for ways to improve processes and enhance product quality. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will help you succeed in this role.
In this role, you will work on all areas of software development, from front-end interfaces to back-end services and cloud infrastructure. You will drive the deployment of service and infrastructure changes frequently, ensuring that all internal services and open-source tooling we maintain meet high standards. You will contribute to product development at every stage, from idea generation and customer engagement to planning, design, prototyping, execution, and operational excellence. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with other engineers to ensure that the software we build is robust and scalable.
