You have a solid background in software engineering with experience in web technologies — you understand the intricacies of the Document Object Model (DOM) and how it interacts with user interfaces. You are proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and you have a passion for improving web standards and user experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving complex problems while continuously learning and growing as an engineer. Experience with open-source projects is a plus — you understand the value of community contributions and are eager to collaborate with others in the field. Familiarity with Gecko, the engine behind Firefox, would be beneficial, as would any experience with event handling and user interaction design.
As a Software Engineer on the DOM Core team, you will be responsible for enhancing the DOM, HTML, and user interaction features within the Gecko engine. You will implement standardized APIs that improve page navigation and document loading, ensuring a seamless experience for users. Your role will involve writing high-quality code and tests, as well as building prototypes to explore new functionalities.
