Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Plumber to assemble, install, and repair plumbing systems at their Starbase facility in Texas. The role requires proficiency with plumbing codes and troubleshooting commercial plumbing fixtures.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in plumbing, with a strong understanding of assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. You are proficient with sewer snakes and cleaning machinery, and you can troubleshoot and service commercial plumbing fixtures and systems effectively. You are familiar with installing various pressure vessels to OSHA certification standards and can keep track of multiple projects' progress simultaneously while being ready to respond quickly to emergencies. You are responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all facility-related plumbing systems, performing hands-on shop work and on-site disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, and reassembly of pumps and other mechanical equipment. You can interface with personnel from other departments to perform hands-on shop and on-site pump troubleshooting, assessment, maintenance, testing, and repair of pumps and other mechanical equipment. You ensure that your work and the materials you use comply with manufacturer specifications and can read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly as required.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing plumbing systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. You will troubleshoot and service commercial plumbing fixtures and systems, ensuring that all installations meet OSHA certification standards. You will keep track of several projects' progress simultaneously via our work order system and be ready to respond quickly to emergencies. Your responsibilities will include performing hands-on shop work and on-site disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, and reassembly of pumps and other mechanical equipment. You will interface with other departments' personnel to perform hands-on shop and on-site pump troubleshooting, assessment, maintenance, testing, and repair of pumps and other mechanical equipment. You will ensure that your work and the materials you use comply with manufacturer specifications and will read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly as required. Additionally, you will perform failure assessments and make recommendations to your supervisor as required, and conduct day-to-day and routine safety observations and inspections.
