Google is seeking an Associate Principal for their Kids and Learning Trust and Safety team. You'll leverage your expertise in data analytics and AI safety to protect users across various Google products. This role requires 7+ years of experience in relevant fields.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields. Your background includes at least 1 year of experience with AI safety and security, adversarial testing, or red teaming. You are familiar with common LLM security vulnerabilities such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, and data exfiltration, and you have designed effective mitigation strategies. A Master's or PhD in a relevant field is preferred, and you have experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection and transformation, and visualization. You are comfortable working with a scripting or programming language, particularly Python, and have experience with machine learning. Your problem-solving and critical thinking skills are excellent, and you pay attention to detail in a fluid environment. You possess strong communication and presentation skills, enabling you to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
As an Associate Principal on the Trust & Safety team, you will be tasked with identifying and addressing the most significant challenges that threaten the safety and integrity of Google products. You will utilize your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to protect users and partners from abuse across platforms like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. Your role will involve collaborating globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to coordinate and provide a consolidated view of risks and mitigations across all launch pillars, including policy, testing, and features. You will also perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule, which may include weekend coverage. Your work may involve handling sensitive content or situations, exposing you to graphic or controversial topics.
