You have extensive experience in software engineering, ideally with a focus on applications that support scientific research and development. Your background includes working with complex systems and understanding the unique challenges faced in the biotechnology sector. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet user needs. You thrive in environments that require both technical expertise and a passion for innovation in life sciences.
Experience in biotechnology or life sciences is a plus, as is familiarity with tools and technologies that support research and development processes. You are comfortable with agile methodologies and have a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders sets you apart.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of Benchling’s R&D Cloud, focusing on creating tools that enhance the efficiency of scientists in their daily tasks. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Your work will directly impact the pace of life sciences research, enabling scientists to tackle pressing global challenges.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure that the tools you develop are user-friendly and meet the needs of researchers. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices within the team. Your insights will help shape the future direction of Benchling’s product offerings, ensuring they remain at the forefront of biotechnology innovation.
