Amazon is hiring a Staff Accountant for their Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team in Bengaluru. You'll support the Accounts Payable team and perform month-end activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role requires proficiency in accounting principles and strong analytical skills.
You have a solid background in accounting with experience in month-end activities and financial reporting — your expertise allows you to perform general ledger account reconciliations and prepare balance sheet analyses effectively. You demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting principles, enabling you to recognize complex issues and develop resolutions. Your attention to detail ensures that appropriate financial policies and internal controls are in place, and you are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements. You are comfortable interacting with auditors and addressing audit-related queries, showcasing your strong communication skills.
Experience with financial software and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with accounts payable processes. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with stakeholders to deliver accurate financial insights. Your analytical mindset helps you prepare month-end Flux analysis for P&L and balance sheet accounts, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
In this role, you will support the Accounts Payable team by performing month-end activities, including closing sub-ledgers and conducting general ledger account reconciliations. You will prepare detailed reports and analyses, sharing your findings with stakeholders to ensure transparency and accuracy in financial reporting. Your responsibilities will also include preparing balance sheet reconciliations and taking necessary actions to address any discrepancies. You will work closely with auditors, addressing their queries and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your role will involve continuous improvement of financial processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Finance Operations team.
