CI&T is seeking a Mid-Level/Senior Cobol Developer to work on financial projects. You'll leverage your expertise in COBOL and related technologies to maintain and develop applications. This role requires strong communication skills and experience in mainframe environments.
You have experience in programming COBOL and are familiar with mainframe development environments. Your solid knowledge of CICS, DB2, JCL, CHANGEMAN, TSO, VSAM, and DEBUG Tools allows you to effectively maintain and develop applications. You possess strong problem-solving skills and can work both independently and as part of a team. Your communication skills enable you to clarify daily tasks with your team and clients, ensuring smooth project execution. You are proactive in identifying opportunities and issues, acting swiftly to develop preventive solutions. Familiarity with Hexavision is a plus, and experience with Java and JIRA is considered a differential.
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of applications in COBOL, integrating with databases to ensure seamless functionality. You will communicate effectively with your team and clients, providing clarity on daily operations. Your technical refinement skills will be crucial as you work on financial projects, anticipating challenges and addressing them proactively. You will collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to ensure that the solutions you create meet the needs of the business and its clients.
