Job Description

Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) team is looking for experienced and motivated technical managers to lead, coach, grow, and partner with technically skilled, customer-facing Solution Architects. This role will support customers in the US, leading teams of technical solution architects.

You will help develop the industry’s best solutions architects team by enabling and coaching them on best practices, solution selling, presentation and speaking skills, as well as how to create and present value-driven architectures of widely varying size and complexity. In collaboration with account management/sales, you will enable business outcomes across a broad set of technology product companies that build solutions to serve our selling partners on world wide Amazon marketplaces.

In this role, you will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well as effective in shaping the customer and solutions-focused skills of your team. You must enjoy learning and introducing new technology in order to help colleagues and customers embrace and adopt new technology. Furthermore, thought leadership in terms of looking beyond the technology and considering the value technology creates for our customers, and helping to change how technology is viewed are important aspects of the role.



Key job responsibilities
- Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects and Solution Architecture Managers; you should be an exceptional builder of great people.
- Coach Solutions Architects to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many technical sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using Selling Partner API
- In partnership with partner management teams, formulate and execute a partner-focused strategy to drive adoption of Selling Partner API
- Guide and prioritize the development of white-papers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices.
- Own the technical strategy that will increase customer value and adoption of well-architected Selling Partner API solutions across Solution Providers.
- Drive Solutions Architecture initiatives across multiple geographies.
- Act as a conduit and liaison between partners, service engineering teams and support.

About the team
Our global Solutions Architecture team enables technology Solution Providers to build on Selling Partner API. Selling Partner API is an integrated web service API that helps Amazon Selling Partners programmatically exchange data on listings, orders, payments, reports, and more.- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 3+ years of engineering/technical team management experience- Strong Experience with full-stack engineering lifecycle, including coding standards, version control, CI/CD, testing, and production operations
- Hands-on experience with emerging technologies like AI and machine learning
- MBA preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
