Apple is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join their Information Systems and Technology group. You'll work on various engineering projects, utilizing skills in Java, JavaScript, and SAP technologies. This role is ideal for candidates with programming knowledge and a background in computer science.
You are meticulously organized and highly observant, with proficient programming knowledge in at least one of the following areas: server-side development using Node.js, Java, or Python; web development with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3; or iOS development using Objective-C or Swift. You also have experience with SAP technology, including RESTful programming and ABAP, and are familiar with at least one scripting language. Your background in computer science fundamentals equips you with the skills necessary to tackle complex problems effectively. You may have prior internship experience that has prepared you for this role.
Knowledge of foundational services in AWS or GCP is a plus, as is related software engineering internship or job experience. Excellent quantitative and interpersonal skills will help you thrive in this collaborative environment.
In this role, you will join one of two Apple teams: Software and Services or Corporate Functions. You will play a vital function in managing the massive systems and services that Apple relies on daily, from Apple ID to the Apple website and data centers around the globe. Your contributions will empower other Apple employees to tackle problems independently by building custom tools. You will work on special projects for new business initiatives and operations in a rapidly growing setting, collaborating with a diverse collection of engineers, designers, and creators.
You will be involved in various engineering positions, including Software Engineer (Backend), Full Stack Software Engineer, Software Quality Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, and Software Development Engineer in Test. Your role will require you to engage with different teams, such as Enterprise Technology Services, SAP, Retail Engineering, Global Business Intelligence, and Corporate Systems Engineering, ensuring that you contribute to the overall success of the organization.
