SoFi is hiring a Home Equity Loan Closer to manage the closing process for home equity loans. You'll ensure compliance with company and investor requirements while coordinating with borrowers. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
You have a strong understanding of the loan closing process and are detail-oriented, ensuring that all files and documents meet company, investor, and compliance requirements. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple files efficiently, processing a minimum of three files per day during normal business operations. Your ability to adhere to deadlines and fluctuating processing minimums set by management is crucial to your success in this role.
You possess excellent organizational skills and can accurately file documents and information in the system, ensuring that all information is complete and accurate. You are comfortable using checklists and other job aids to complete all required information accurately. Your in-depth knowledge of the entire loan life cycle allows you to understand the implications of your work in the closing function, making you a valuable asset to the team.
Experience in the financial services industry or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with closing documents and processes. You are proactive in seeking solutions and improving processes, contributing to a more efficient closing experience for borrowers.
In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling loan closings with borrowers and preparing all necessary closing documents. You will ensure that all files and documents meet compliance requirements and are drawn within posted turn times. Your attention to detail will help you reconcile and approve the Closing Disclosure, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process.
You will coordinate with title companies and other stakeholders to expedite the closing process, ensuring a smooth experience for our members. Your ability to communicate effectively with borrowers and internal teams will be essential in addressing any questions or concerns that arise during the closing process.
You will also be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of the loan life cycle, which will enable you to fully grasp the implications of your work in the closing function. This knowledge will help you identify potential issues and proactively address them, ensuring a seamless closing experience for our members.
