Enviva is hiring a Mobile Equipment Operator to manage the logistical movement of raw and finished production. You'll operate heavy industrial equipment and ensure safety and quality standards are met. This role requires internal company certification and the ability to follow instructions.
You are a dedicated individual with a strong commitment to safety and quality in the workplace. You understand the importance of following standard operating procedures and are capable of operating heavy industrial equipment such as Front-End Loaders and caterpillar forest machines. You possess the ability to inspect equipment and report any issues to ensure a safe working environment. You are detail-oriented and proficient in maintaining proper paperwork related to equipment operations.
You have a willingness to learn and adapt to the operational processes of the company. You can understand and follow both written and verbal job instructions effectively. Your ability to perform daily checks and basic maintenance on equipment demonstrates your commitment to keeping machinery in good working order. You are also capable of performing housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work area.
While internal company certification is required, any additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation would be a plus. Experience in a similar role or industry is beneficial but not mandatory. A strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset will help you thrive in this position.
As a Mobile Equipment Operator at Enviva, you will be responsible for the logistical movement of raw and finished production through the operational process on assigned shifts. You will operate heavy industrial equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring that all operations adhere to safety and quality standards. Your role will involve unloading log trucks and loading logs into production equipment and storage areas.
You will monitor and adjust operating parameters in the wood yard control room to meet target safety, quality, and productivity goals. Daily inspections of equipment will be part of your routine, and you will need to inform the appropriate personnel of any unsafe or improperly functioning equipment. You will also be responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and greasing equipment, to keep it in optimal condition.
In addition to equipment operation, you will be expected to understand mix targets when feeding various types of fiber into the production process. Your attention to detail will ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the operation.
