Smartsheet is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to work on various areas of software development including front-end, back-end, and cloud infrastructure. You'll utilize skills in Java, JavaScript, and ASP.NET in a remote role based in Bulgaria.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, demonstrating a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development. Your expertise includes working with cloud infrastructure and test automation, ensuring that you can contribute to all areas of software development. You are passionate about continuous learning and eager to grow in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You have a solid understanding of CI/CD practices and are comfortable deploying services and infrastructure changes frequently. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, driving high standards for internal services and open-source tools. You are adaptable and ready to embrace the challenges that come with building a new operation in Bulgaria.
Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools like Docker and ASP.NET will be advantageous. A background in collaborative work management solutions is a plus, as is any experience with automation tools.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that empower teams to automate manual processes and uncover insights. You will work closely with engineering leaders to ensure the reliability and scalability of the services you build. Your day-to-day tasks will involve coding, testing, and deploying applications, as well as participating in code reviews and contributing to architectural discussions. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers.
