Engineering Manager - Identity and Access Management (x/f/m)

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Identity and Access Management team in the Platform Domain in Berlin.

As an Engineering Manager, your mission will be to lead a team that provides transversal and easy-to-use components to all Doctolib products to ensure the highest level of security and privacy. The Identity and Access Management team is responsible for building authentication solutions within all Doctolib products, on both the patients and practitioners side, impacting hundreds of millions of users.

Focusing on Single Sign-On (SSO), this team allows users to authenticate once and gain access to multiple systems without needing to re-enter their credentials, delivering an improved and unified user experience.

Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead a high-performing collaborative team of 6+ members to ensure business objectives are met as a team
• Partner with talent and people teams to recruit, develop, and retain talent
• Build, lead, and empower a user-centric team that delivers best-in-class internal and external user satisfaction
• Be the end-to-end owner of the team's production, quality, and delivery while maintaining positive team engagement scores
• Set standards and exceed security, reliability, performance, and scalability requirements

About our tech environment

• Our solutions are built on a single fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to the country and healthcare specialty requirements. To address these challenges, we are modularizing our platform run in a distributed architecture through reusable components.
• Our stack is composed of Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, React with Typescript and React Native

Who you are

Before you read on — if you don't have the exact profile described below, but you feel this job description matches your skill set, we still encourage you to apply.

• You have at least 6+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years of management experience
• You have experience scaling and leading a technical organization (5+ members), while implementing best-in-class methodologies
• You have strong technical skills, with a track record of working in a monolith but also building capabilities outside of it in a scalable way
• You have experience developing efficient and secure authentication services with robust programming practice and knowledge of Identity and Access Management
• You are an effective communicator with the ability to translate company goals into team objectives

• Have knowledge of solutions like Keycloak or similar
