Overview

Instructure is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales in the higher education sector. You'll focus on building relationships and creating opportunities to help institutions transform learning through technology. This role requires a hunter mentality and a passion for education.

Who you are

You are a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in account management and business development, particularly in the higher education sector. With your strong communication skills, you excel at building meaningful relationships with clients and stakeholders. You thrive in a competitive environment and are motivated by achieving sales targets and driving growth. Your ability to understand the unique challenges faced by educational institutions allows you to tailor solutions that meet their needs effectively. You are a true hunter — energetic, resourceful, and persuasive, with a passion for helping institutions transform learning through technology.

Desirable

Experience in the education technology sector is a plus, as is fluency in French, which will enable you to connect with a broader range of clients across Canada. You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collaborative spirit that fosters success for everyone involved. You are adaptable and open to feedback, always looking for ways to improve your approach and results.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and expanding Instructure's presence in the higher education market. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your network and industry knowledge to create leads and close deals. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients will be key to your success, as you work to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance their educational offerings. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure that client feedback is incorporated into future product enhancements.

You will also engage in strategic planning and forecasting, setting ambitious yet achievable sales targets and developing action plans to meet them. Regularly reporting on your progress and adjusting your strategies based on market trends and client feedback will be essential. You will participate in industry events and conferences to represent Instructure and network with potential clients, showcasing the value of our products and services.
