Overview

Amazon is seeking a Channel Team Lead for their transportation team in Surat. You'll be responsible for managing operations for a new delivery channel and driving performance improvements. This role requires strong execution skills and a data-driven approach.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in operations management, particularly in transportation or logistics, and possess strong execution skills that enable you to drive results effectively. You are action-oriented and resourceful, able to identify solutions even with limited resources. Your analytical mindset allows you to understand business issues and challenges quickly, enabling you to suggest areas for improvement. You are adept at mapping business requirements and understanding processes, which helps you design effective solutions. You have experience in developing and reporting performance metrics, and you are comfortable using data to make informed decisions that enhance customer experience.

Desirable

Experience in managing teams and driving performance improvement initiatives is a plus. Familiarity with emerging industry practices in transportation and logistics will help you excel in this role. You are a strong communicator, capable of presenting executive updates and forecasts to stakeholders. Your ability to deep dive into operational challenges and apply innovative solutions will set you apart.

What you'll do

As the Channel Team Lead, you will be responsible for expanding and managing operations for a new delivery channel at Amazon's Delivery Stations. You will lead a team, focusing on people and performance management while driving the operational plan. Your role will involve quickly understanding the business issues and challenges within transportation operations, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and suggesting areas for improvement. You will map business requirements and analyze workflows to design effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

You will be data-driven, developing and reporting performance metrics, executive updates, and forecasts to identify potential opportunities for improving customer experience. Your responsibilities will also include designing, developing, piloting, and rolling out enterprise-wide programs aimed at performance improvement, cycle time improvement for returns, and enhancing delivery experiences. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that operational goals are met and that the team is aligned with Amazon's customer-centric mission.
