Overview

Samsara is seeking a Mid Market Account Executive to drive sales of their IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You'll engage with executives and manage complex sales processes. This role requires experience in sales and a passion for technology.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the technology sector, and are excited about the potential of the Internet of Things (IoT) to transform businesses. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders, including executives and CXOs. Your ability to manage trials and negotiate pricing effectively sets you apart. You are a self-starter who enjoys building relationships and driving results. You understand the importance of data in making informed decisions and are eager to leverage it to help customers improve their operations.

Desirable

Experience in selling technology solutions to mid-sized businesses is a plus. Familiarity with IoT applications and their benefits can help you connect with potential clients more effectively. A background in industries such as agriculture, construction, or transportation can provide valuable insights into customer needs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Samsara's IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You will engage with potential clients, presenting the benefits of sensor data and how it can enhance their operations. Your typical sales will range from $20k to $100k, requiring you to manage proof of concepts and navigate complex pricing negotiations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth sales process and will be expected to travel approximately 25% of the time to meet clients and attend industry events.

You will collaborate with the marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with customer needs and market trends. Your insights will help shape the development of new product features and enhancements. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of your sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accessible to your team.
