Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and relevant corporate aviation work or equivalent practical experience — your background equips you with the skills necessary to excel in maintaining aircraft. You hold a certification in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant, ensuring you are well-versed in the regulatory requirements of aviation maintenance. With at least 8 years of experience in corporate aviation maintenance, you have developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in aircraft upkeep. Your experience as a master technician working with Gulfstream G550/G650 showcases your ability to handle high-performance aircraft. You possess knowledge of cabin entertainment systems and equipment, which is crucial for maintaining passenger comfort and satisfaction. You are familiar with aviation-related project management, including trip planning, tool control, safety management systems (SMS), and quality assurance (QA). Your ability to communicate effectively with team members, passengers, and vendors is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and safety.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and compliance of Google's corporate aviation operations. You will stay current with Federal Aviation Regulations and industry best practices, ensuring that all maintenance activities meet the highest standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletin requirements. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to create strategies that drive sustainable effectiveness in maintenance operations. You will help develop a culture where safety, security, and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google’s operations. You will continually identify, evaluate, and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities, providing business leaders with the information they need to make critical decisions. Your expertise will be vital in evaluating possible improvements to aircraft and maintenance operations, ensuring that Google remains at the forefront of corporate aviation safety and efficiency.

What we offer

Google offers a competitive salary range for this full-time position, with a base salary between $133,000 and $190,000, plus bonuses, equity, and benefits. You will be part of a dynamic team that values safety and innovation in aviation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Join us in our mission to keep Googlers safe and secure while managing disruptive incidents and crises effectively.
