SpaceX is seeking a Supply Chain Reliability Engineer to enhance the sourcing and procurement processes for their Falcon and Dragon spacecraft. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

You have a deep technical and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and standards — you understand the intricacies of supply chain management and how to optimize it for success. You possess the ability to lead projects and develop strategies that drive accountability across cross-functional teams, ensuring that results are delivered efficiently. Your passion for continuous improvement is evident in your willingness to shepherd ideas from initial requirements through to execution, demonstrating patience and resilience in the face of challenges. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and step into unknown situations to understand the current state and identify the most optimal path forward. As a voice of reasoning for reliability, you ensure that product reliability risks are taken into account within the supply chain process, advocating for quality and efficiency at every step.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, planning, procurement, warehousing, and transportation of all raw materials and components needed to build SpaceX's revolutionary spacecraft and launch vehicles. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure they provide premium quality components that meet rapidly evolving designs and ambitious production volumes. Your role will involve leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance the reliability and efficiency of the supply chain. You will analyze current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that drive operational excellence. Collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams will be crucial as you work to align supply chain capabilities with production needs. You will also be tasked with monitoring supplier performance and ensuring compliance with SpaceX's high standards for quality and reliability.
