SpaceX is hiring a Senior Operations Engineer for Starship Production to support production programs through strategic planning and optimization of processes. You'll work with AutoCAD and data analysis to enhance production efficiency at Starbase.
You have 5+ years of experience in operations engineering, particularly in high-volume production environments. Your expertise includes developing factory design plans and optimizing production processes to ensure efficiency and quality. You are skilled in data analysis and can leverage this to drive improvements in production strategies. You have a strong understanding of manufacturing execution systems and inventory management, enabling you to define new business processes that enhance operational effectiveness.
You are a subject matter expert in production processes and systems, capable of troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions that mitigate risks. Your collaborative nature allows you to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external contractors, ensuring that production goals are met on time. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for creating accurate floor layouts and capacity studies that support production rate objectives.
Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and methodologies is a plus. Familiarity with configuration management and material traceability will enhance your ability to contribute to the team. A background in aerospace or automotive production environments will be beneficial, as will any experience with process control systems.
In this role, you will develop and manage production strategies that align resources with tasks to optimize output and quality.
