Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages. If you hold an advanced degree, you may qualify with just 1 year of experience. You possess a solid understanding of machine learning concepts, having spent at least 1 year working with ML infrastructure, including model deployment and optimization. Your experience also includes working with data structures and algorithms, which you have applied in practical scenarios. You are familiar with developing accessible technologies and have the ability to perform feature engineering and analyze data for ML model development. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute fresh ideas to advance technology.

Desirable

A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields is preferred. You have 2 years of experience specifically with data structures or algorithms, and you are comfortable running experiments and using experimental results to improve model performance. Your background may include experience in speech/audio technologies or reinforcement learning, which would be a plus.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will work on critical projects that push the boundaries of machine learning technologies. You will contribute to creating test evaluation datasets and autoraters, helping to enhance the capabilities of Gemini in Chrome. Your role will involve running live experiments, deploying models in production, and utilizing experimental results to refine model performance.
