Google is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to manage product quality in electronic device manufacturing projects. You'll leverage your expertise in mechanical engineering and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production processes. This role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience.
You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field. With at least 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in electronic device manufacturing or a similar role, you have a solid foundation in quality management practices. You have experience supporting the transition of new products to high-volume production and are familiar with mechanical manufacturing processes. Your background includes developing quality processes and applying optimization methods in mobile or consumer electronic device production. You are skilled in aesthetic inspection methods, measurement device design, and measurement correlation. You have successfully implemented advanced quality processes and continuous product improvement initiatives in collaboration with contract manufacturing partners. You are adept at assisting cross-functional teams in problem-solving using practical methods such as quality metrics, experimental design, and statistical process control/Six Sigma. You are capable of engaging in complex technical discussions in English or Chinese, contributing to innovative solutions for consumer products directly from Google.

You will contribute to the innovation of products loved by millions. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. You will utilize productivity studies and statistical process control to validate process capabilities, establish reasonable specifications, and drive process improvements in collaboration with process engineers and manufacturing teams. Working closely with reliability engineers, you will establish continuous reliability testing plans for manufacturing processes, ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards before reaching the market.
