Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in user experience design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create intuitive and engaging interfaces. Your expertise spans both visual and voice interfaces, allowing you to design experiences that resonate with users. You are skilled in conducting user research and usability testing, ensuring that your designs are informed by real user feedback. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers, product managers, and other designers to bring your ideas to life. You are proficient in Figma and have experience contributing to design systems, enhancing the consistency and quality of user experiences across products. You are passionate about leveraging technology to improve people's lives and are excited about the potential of voice interfaces.

Desirable

Experience with Alexa or similar voice technology is a plus. Familiarity with conducting hallway testing and user research using tools like Dscout will set you apart. A background in health and wellness technology can also be beneficial, as it aligns with the mission of enhancing user well-being through design.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process for complex features and products related to Alexa. You will start with early-stage design concepts that help stakeholders understand the customer experience deeply. Your collaboration with engineers throughout the design process will ensure that your designs are not only innovative but also feasible and effective. You will partner with designers across Alexa to adopt and extend existing design systems, contributing to Figma libraries and sharing best practices with your team. Your role will involve incorporating insights from relevant Alexa research, conducting hallway testing, and running user research to validate your design decisions. You will work closely with product and tech owners, marketing, solutions architects, and business development to ensure that the customer remains at the center of all decision-making.
