Tax Associate (Part-time, Remote)

Who you are

You have a minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns, using commercial tax preparation software. You are committed to enhancing our brand by delighting our customers and empowering them to prepare their taxes. You possess excellent customer service skills and are excited to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner. You must possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds and an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). You must have an internet connection that meets security criteria and be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.

What you'll do

As a Tax Associate, you will maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner. You will utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language. This is a virtual, customer-facing role, so you will use state-of-the-art video communication software to interact with customers in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner, and you will document your interactions appropriately.
