You'll work with technologies like Python and SQL to optimize marketplace strategies. This position requires strong expertise in machine learning and data analysis.
You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on algorithms and machine learning. Your background includes developing and productionizing models that drive business decisions in a real-time marketplace. You are adept at using Python and SQL to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to align on strategic goals and deliver impactful solutions. You possess a deep understanding of forecasting, optimization, and inference techniques, which you apply creatively to solve unique challenges. You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy tackling problems that require innovative thinking and first-principles reasoning. You are passionate about leveraging data to enhance operational efficiency and improve user experiences.
Experience with large-scale data processing and familiarity with cloud-based platforms is a plus. Knowledge of additional programming languages or data visualization tools can enhance your contributions to the team. A background in the rideshare or transportation industry would be beneficial but is not required.

Lyft provides a competitive salary range of $148,000 to $185,000 for this position, not including potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
