SpaceX is hiring a Logistics Technician for their 2nd shift to manage the safe handling and transport of flight hardware. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with mechanical components.
You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in logistics operations. You understand the importance of maintaining inventory accuracy and are comfortable working with mechanical components. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside other technicians to ensure the successful transport of flight vehicles and related equipment. You are proactive in managing transport processes and are willing to perform general maintenance on transport equipment as needed. You have a strong sense of responsibility and take pride in your work, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
As a Logistics Technician, you will be responsible for the safe handling and securing of items, both with and without equipment. You will manage the maintenance of flight hardware transport equipment and procure necessary consumables following established criteria. Your role will involve performing general maintenance on mechanical components of transport equipment and supporting operations for flight vehicles. You will safely load, secure, and transport equipment, packages, and inventory items, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and properly stored. Additionally, you will aid in managing transport equipment and materials needed for operational success, receiving, stocking, and issuing a wide variety of parts and materials to support site operations. You will also perform routine cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and assist in the preparation of necessary kits of parts and materials.
