Job Description

Who you are

You are an experienced engineer with a strong background in customer engagement and technical expertise, particularly in the aerospace and defense industries. With a proven track record in project management, you excel at collaborating with sales teams to drive account growth and retention. Your ability to identify and address manufacturing challenges makes you a valuable asset in pre-sales engineering. You possess digital fluency and a genuine enthusiasm for the aerospace sector, which allows you to connect with clients effectively and provide insightful solutions.

You have a knack for digesting complex information and organizing it in a way that is accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your charisma and communication skills enable you to engage with customers confidently, whether in person or through digital channels. You thrive in a team-focused environment and are eager to contribute to a growing company at the forefront of digital manufacturing.

Desirable

Experience in CNC machining and sheet metal processes would be a plus, as well as familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles. A background in engineering sales or solutions engineering is highly desirable, as is a passion for continuous learning and professional development in the manufacturing field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner closely with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention, leveraging your engineering expertise to support sales initiatives. You will engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their projects. Your responsibilities will include joining Account Executives on onsite visits to clients, where you will present technical insights and address any potential manufacturing challenges.

You will stay informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with Xometry's offerings. Your role will involve proactively identifying and addressing manufacturing challenges, including DFM considerations, to enhance customer satisfaction and project success. You will also contribute to the development of best practices within the pre-sales engineering community, sharing knowledge and insights gained from your customer interactions.
