Venn is seeking a Head of Engineering to build and mentor a high-performing engineering team while contributing to the codebase and architecture. You have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Your background includes hands-on experience in software development, particularly in fintech or related industries, where you've contributed to the architecture and design of scalable systems. You excel in mentoring and guiding engineers through code reviews and design discussions, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Your communication and organizational skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively manage team dynamics and project timelines. You are familiar with modern development practices and have experience in operational excellence, ensuring high-quality delivery and sprint management. You understand the importance of customer-centric product development and are eager to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Experience in a fast-growing startup environment is a plus, as is familiarity with payment products such as card issuing and money transfers. You may also have experience working with various programming languages and stacks, which will help you contribute effectively to the team's diverse technical landscape.
