Who you are

You have at least 4 years of experience working with data as a data scientist or analyst in an applied business context — you've successfully partnered with stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions and enhance business outcomes. You possess deep experience with data visualization tools and methodologies, enabling you to present complex data insights in an understandable manner. Your professional experience with statistics and analytical techniques allows you to conduct thorough analyses that inform strategic initiatives. You are proficient in writing DBT SQL pipelines to automate and manage data assets, particularly in environments like Snowflake. Your familiarity with Python and R equips you to perform statistical analysis on product usage and engagement data effectively.

Desirable

Experience with tools like Hex.tech and Sigma Computing is a plus, as it enhances your ability to derive insights from customer journeys. A background in predictive analytics and familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 will set you apart. You are comfortable leading analytics reviews with C-level partners, showcasing your ability to communicate insights and recommendations at the highest levels of the organization.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Scientist at Vanta, you will lay the foundation for a best-in-class business analytics function. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure that our analytics stack and processes meet current business needs while anticipating future requirements. Your responsibilities will include writing DBT SQL pipelines to automate and manage data assets in Snowflake for our product partners. You will utilize Python and R with Hex.tech to conduct statistical analyses of product usage and engagement data, providing actionable insights that drive product improvements. Additionally, you will work in Sigma Computing to uncover insights in our customer journey, helping to define and predict churn while specifying and building products that enhance user experience.

You will set high standards for predictive analytics projects, defining the analytics practice for our Product Analytics efforts. Your role will also involve crafting our AI and LLM measurement practices, ensuring that our analytics capabilities evolve alongside our product offerings. Leading analytics reviews with C-level partners will be a key part of your role, allowing you to influence strategic decisions based on data-driven insights.
