About the Team:
We are a collaborative group within Amazon's Tax Department focused on creating innovative solutions for tax compliance. Our team values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives drive creative solutions.

A Day in the Life:
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance tax compliance processes, mentor team members, and contribute to technological innovations. You'll participate in strategic discussions about process improvements and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of U.S. indirect tax filings for Amazon and its subsidiaries
- Coordinate account reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Design and implement process improvements using emerging technologies
- Provide guidance on complex tax issues and documentation
- Foster collaborative relationships with audit, planning, and technology teams

A day in the life
A U.S. Indirect Tax Manager is an individual contributor but collaborates regularly with other ITC team members, as well as other tax teams, to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, account reconciliations and other tax accounting tasks. The role partners with other teams to ensure end to end state & local tax coordination. A Tax Manager also participates to technology projects and process improvements, which provides opportunities for growth.

About the team
The U.S. ITC team's ownership includes U.S. indirect tax compliance as well as sales & business license registrations and business license renewal. ITC has team members in offices in Seattle, Arlington and Hyderabad, India.- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department- CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
