In 2017, we stood up a team in China to drive the awareness, activation, and continued success of China-based sellers advertising in marketplaces worldwide (North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific) via marketing channels, seller education, and product marketing. We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, Event Marketing Manager to drive event marketing programs for Amazon Advertising China. The Event Marketing Manager will be accountable for event planning,execution and content creation, with programmatic approach to serve the dynamic event needs. This person will also work internally in a cross-functional manner, collaborating with teams across Amazon Advertising to identify the audience needs and turning it into scalable marketing programs through suitable channels. Lastly, the Event Marketing Manager will own testing and measurement, optimizing for what drives performance and reporting the impact of event marketing on the business growth.
Key job responsibilities
- Content Strategy Development: Based on sellers needs and understanding, design and execute event-based content to elevate Amazon ads brand visibility, educate audiences on product features, and drive content engagement.
- Product-Centric Storytelling: Collaborate with CMM team, translate Amazon ads. products details into customer relatable, shareable narratives that resonate with target audiences and align with brand voice.
- Social Platform Content Creation: Produce high-quality content (e.g. posts, videos) optimized for public social channels (e.g., Red, Douyin, Blibli, Weibo) to boost products adoption and brand loyalty.
- Trend Utilization: Monitor public social media trends, platform algorithms, 2B KOLs/Influencers and customer insights to adapt content strategies and media/KOLs metrics for maximum reach and impact.
- Performance Analytics: Track content performance metrics (touch points, engagement, exposure etc.) and refine strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all social facing content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a unified tone across all channels. Partner proactively with global teams on strategic events- 5+ years of experience in integrated marketing, brand marketing, or event marketing.
- Superior external and internal presentation skill
- Excel in marketing strategic planning, execution and result measuring
- Superior verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated by experience in both Chinese and English
- Bachelor degree and proven work experience in e-commerce, marketing, or digital sector- MBA or other related Master's degree
- Passion for e-commerce and/or integrated marketing and a track record of delivering outstanding results
- Proven ability to think strategically and execute methodically
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- An entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for inventing and optimizing on behalf of customers
