You have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in GPU or CPU architecture and microarchitecture — you understand the intricacies of hardware design and validation. Your experience includes writing synthesizable code, which has equipped you with the skills to create effective emulation models. You are proficient in C and C++, and you have a solid understanding of Linux environments, which allows you to navigate and troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
You are familiar with OpenGL and its applications in graphics processing — you have worked on projects that required deep knowledge of graphics performance and validation techniques. Your analytical skills enable you to conduct thorough power and performance analysis, ensuring that designs meet stringent quality standards. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to silicon.
Experience with hardware platform testing and debugging is a plus — you have a knack for identifying issues and resolving them efficiently. Familiarity with synthetic and real-world test cases will help you excel in this role, as you will be responsible for running tests and reporting on the status of GPU designs. As a Graphics Emulation Engineer at Apple, you will play a crucial role in the GPU Design Verification and Validation organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that complex GPU designs meet Apple’s high-quality standards through comprehensive hardware platform testing. You will validate designs that enable seamless execution of demanding graphics workloads, which is essential for the performance of millions of devices worldwide.
You will support functional verification, power and performance analysis, and silicon validation by building emulation models.
