Who you are

You have an advanced degree in propulsion engineering, system engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field, and over 10 years of experience in systems engineering or spacecraft development roles. Your strong understanding of cryogenic rocket engines and cryogenic propulsive systems sets you apart, as you are well-versed in the complexities of aerospace engineering. You have a proven track record of leading teams, managing projects, and driving engineering initiatives to successful completion. Your leadership style is collaborative, and you thrive in environments where you can support and challenge your team in their design choices and development logic. You are adept at overseeing project planning and execution, ensuring that engineering projects align with business objectives and are completed on time and within budget. You are also skilled in identifying new business opportunities and supporting your team in achieving their goals.

What you'll do

As the High-Thrust Engine Lead, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians in the development of the Storm project, which is integral to the Nyx vehicle. You will set clear goals and objectives for your team, assign tasks, and provide guidance and support to ensure that everyone is aligned and working effectively. Your role will involve overseeing the hiring process, defining job descriptions, conducting interviews, and onboarding new team members to build a strong and capable team. You will support your team in making critical design decisions and will challenge them to think creatively and innovatively about their work. You will coordinate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure that engineering projects meet business needs and objectives. Additionally, you will play a key role in identifying new opportunities for the business and supporting the team in pursuing these initiatives.
