Amazon's Live Events Product Innovation team is looking for talented Software Development Engineers to help shape the future of advertising technology in our New York office.

At Amazon, we're pioneering new ways to deliver advertising experiences in live events that delight both viewers and advertisers. Our team is responsible for developing cutting-edge ad technologies that will be deployed across major sporting events and live broadcasts worldwide. We're building systems that handle real-time ad insertion, interactive experiences, and sophisticated targeting capabilities at massive scale.

As a Software Development Engineer on the Product Innovation team based in New York, you'll work on industry-first features that transform how advertisements are integrated into live events. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and launch new ad experiences that generate millions in revenue while maintaining an exceptional viewer experience.


Key job responsibilities
* Design and develop scalable services for real-time ad insertion and delivery in live streaming environments
* Build and maintain testing platforms that enable rapid prototyping of new ad experiences
* Create innovative solutions for measuring ad performance and viewer engagement
* Collaborate with multiple teams across Amazon Advertising to integrate new ad experiences into existing systems
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from conception through deployment
* Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software that operates at global scale

About the team
The Product Innovation Program team at Amazon Advertising is at the forefront of revolutionizing how advertisements are integrated into live sports and events on Prime Video. Our mission is to create the world's most advanced Live Event advertising program, delivering value for both viewers and advertisers globally across Amazon-operated and partner-operated live events.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or similar languages
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of web technologies and REST APIs- Experience with video streaming technologies or ad tech
- Knowledge of real-time systems and low-latency applications
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud architecture
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguous requirements
- Excellence in technical communication with peers and stakeholders
- Experience with agile development methodologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
