Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in system thermal for Pixel devices. You'll work with Android software development and embedded systems, requiring 5+ years of program management experience.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes working with mobile devices and a strong understanding of Hardware, Software, and embedded software development. You have experience in power, thermal, or performance engineering, which equips you to navigate complex technical challenges. You excel at managing cross-functional or cross-team projects and have a proven ability to develop new processes that enhance project efficiency. Your communication skills allow you to effectively partner with technical engineering teams and influence stakeholders, ensuring that projects are aligned with organizational goals.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex projects from inception to completion, utilizing your technical expertise to shape and drive the multi-year roadmap for phones and custom silicon. You will collaborate with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules, ensuring that all aspects of the project are on track. Your role will involve interfacing with software and hardware engineers to estimate work efforts, define milestones, and manage resources effectively. You will drive features, track progress, resolve dependencies, and evaluate risks while providing regular status updates to stakeholders. Your ability to identify communication gaps and manage issue escalations will be crucial in balancing competing priorities and ensuring project success.
