You are an experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in iOS development — you have a deep understanding of Swift and are passionate about maintaining high-quality standards in software. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that issues are identified and resolved before reaching customers. Your experience includes creating and maintaining automated test suites, particularly using XCUITest, and you are committed to continuous improvement in the testing process.
You have a proven track record of writing comprehensive test plans for new features — you understand the importance of thorough testing in delivering a reliable product. You enjoy collaborating with manual QA testers to identify areas that require automated coverage, ensuring that the testing process is efficient and effective. Your analytical skills allow you to pinpoint potential issues and develop strategies to mitigate them before they impact users.
You are detail-oriented and take pride in your work — you understand that the quality of the app directly affects user satisfaction and business success. You are proactive in seeking out opportunities to enhance the testing framework and improve the overall quality assurance process. You are also adaptable, able to pivot quickly in response to changing project requirements or priorities.
Experience with additional testing frameworks or tools is a plus — you are open to learning new technologies that can enhance your testing capabilities. Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced development environment will help you excel in this role.
In this role, you will own the UI automation process for Fieldwire's iOS app — you will create a robust foundation for automated testing that ensures high-quality releases. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include adding to the UI framework, writing tests, and reviewing scenarios with the iOS team. You will be instrumental in developing new automated tests for the XCUITest test suite, ensuring that the app remains reliable and performs well in various customer environments.
You will collaborate closely with the iOS development team to identify areas for improvement in the testing process — your insights will help shape the direction of the QA efforts. You will also work with manual QA testers to pinpoint areas that need automated test coverage, ensuring that all critical features are thoroughly tested.
Your role will involve writing detailed test plans for new features, ensuring that all aspects of the application are covered. You will participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing strategies, helping to foster a culture of quality within the team.
