Senior Software Engineer, Rider Quality

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on building and designing systems that enhance quality and efficiency. Your background includes working with both Python and Go, and you have a keen interest in leveraging Artificial Intelligence to improve engineering processes. You understand the importance of developer satisfaction and are passionate about creating tools that reduce friction in workflows.

Your experience includes designing self-service tooling and integrating intelligent systems into developer workflows, ensuring that feedback loops are fast and effective. Desirable

Experience with AI tooling and automation frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with quality engineering practices. A background in mobile engineering is also beneficial, as you will be working closely with the mobile engineering organization to enhance their productivity.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the architect of self-service tooling, creating "paved paths" that eliminate developer friction and bottlenecks. Your work will directly increase the productivity and happiness of our entire mobile engineering organization. You will design, build, and deploy in-house AI tooling, tackling complex problems like automatic test case generation and smart test execution. You will own the strategy for integrating these intelligent systems into the developer workflow, ensuring fast, continuous feedback and measurable impact on engineering hours saved and bugs avoided in production.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, sharing your insights and expertise to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Your contributions will help shape the future of quality engineering at Lyft, as you work to fundamentally shift away from manual processes and existing automation frameworks that struggle to keep up. You will measure your success through tangible impacts, including increased developer satisfaction and reduced incidents in production.
