Job Description

For many customers, stepping into smart home technology feels like learning a new language - exciting but daunting. We're looking for a product manager who can transform those initial moments of hesitation into discovery and delight. You'll craft the journey that guides customers from 'I'm not sure if this is for me' to 'I can't imagine my home without this,' helping them uncover the magic of their first smart home device and the enhanced capabilities of Alexa+.

In parallel, you will support our developers by growing Alexa Connect Kit (ACK), Amazon's turnkey solution for manufacturers to add Alexa capabilities to their devices, which in turn drives New-to-Smart-Home (N2SH) customers. You'll play a crucial role in establishing ACK as the preferred solution for smart device infrastructure, directly influencing our platform's growth trajectory.

Key job responsibilities
You will own our New-to-Smart-Home (N2SH) customer strategy, architecting the customer acquisition journey, identifying what makes different customers hesitate to adopt smart home technology, and creating compelling solutions that help them take that first step. You'll analyze customer behavior, test different approaches, and build programs or products that make starting with Alexa feel natural and exciting.

You'll also lead the ACK growth strategy, developing both online and offline marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition and engagement. You'll spearhead partner relationships with third-party device manufacturers, create comprehensive ACK growth strategies, and design data-driven marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results. In addition, you'll be working closely with product teams, where you'll translate partner and customer feedback into feature priorities while collaborating with Business Development teams to accelerate partner adoption and integration of ACK.

A day in the life
You will manage multiple key stakeholder relationships, be comfortable driving executive meetings and product roadmaps, and work to improve the customer experience with Alexa. This role is inherently cross-functional and highly visible, working closely with stakeholders and earning trust at all levels. This role requires regular interaction with senior leadership; as such, executive presence is key.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
